About

Hello and welcome to Sharon’s Devotionals.

Awhile back in December 2025 I was having coffee with a friend, and we were talking about the Lord and she commented that she believed in God but probably had not opened a bible in 15 years.

I get it, opening the bible can be overwhelming. I mean where do even begin and there are a lot of genealogies that can go for what seems like pages.

I’m the type of person who likes to break tasks down into micro blocks. And whittle away at it until it’s finished.

For instance, I wash, dry, fold and put away one load at a time. To tell on my husband, he was delighted to inform me that he had done all the laundry. As I walked into our bedroom there was a huge, giant pile of clean clothing, towels and sheets laying on the bed just waiting for someone to shake out fold and put away. Now that was overwhelming for me.

So, relating that to looking at a thick bible with hundreds of pages of historical events, I get it.

So back to my friend, a few weeks after our coffee visit  I sent her one scripture, and she replied ‘thank you, that encouraged me”

So hence the Lord put it on my heart to send out one scripture each week and include a 2–3-minute dialog about the verse and send a song that complements it, and I’ve been doing that ever since.

I hope you will visit often to hear Sharon’s weekly devotions.
